July 29, 2017:  Chapter Game Day & BBQ, 10 am, 180 Kenyon St, Hartford, CT., 06105.  Attendees will “manage” baseball teams of the past against other long-gone teams in a well known board game named Strat-O-Matic. ‘Managers’ have the opportunity to lead, for example, the 1927 Yankees versus the 1967 Red Sox, or the 1948 Braves versus the 1955 Dodgers.  No experience required.  Newbies welcome.    You do not need to own Strat-O-Matic and should contact Karl at kcicitto@cox.net.

Aug 26, 2017:  Fenway Park Trip.  Red Sox host Orioles.   There will be a coordinated travel option for a car caravan to Riverside MBTA Station followed by a 20 minute train ride to Fenway.  We have 9 seats in Grandstand 22.  It may be possible to obtain more seats. March 25 2017:  Spring Training General Meeting, Quinnipiac University, College of Liberal Arts, building #1, Hamden, CT.  12:00 to 4 pm.The line up includes Mark Stoler presenting on the Analytics Conference,  Mark Kanter on his baseball trip to Cuba, a Jeff Bagwell Player & Coach Panel moderated by Karl Cicitto and Joe Runde on his all-time Cubs team.  There will be a Book Sale and Refreshments.  Contact Steve Krevisky   at SKrevisky@mxcc.commnet.edu

Dec. 17 2016:  12 Noon.  Holiday Luncheon.  Angelo’s on Main at Rockledge Golf Course, 289 S. Main St., West Hartford, CT.  06107.   Buffet.  Soft Drinks.  Cash bar.  Door prize.  Jason Klein and Peter Tucci were the guest speakers.  Klein, a former minor league umpire and CT native, is the founder of Force 3 Gear, supplier of catcher masks for MLB.  Pete Tucci, a CT native & former minor league player, is the founder of Tucci Lumber, supplier of game bats to 160+ current MLB players.  Cost of the luncheon was $30 per person including tax and tip.   Alan at adc0317@comcast.net.

Oct. 29 2016:  Fall General Meeting, Quinnipiac University, College of Liberal Arts, building #1, Hamden, CT.  12:30 to 4 pm.  Jim Berardinucci will talk about an All Time Phillies Team.  Bob Wirz will discuss his new book ,The Passion of Baseball.  Richard Elliot will discuss his book, Clem Labine: Always A Dodger.  Former MLB player and Matt Merullo will appear.  Vernona Gomez will talk about her friendship with Babe Ruth’s daughter and the bond between The Babe and Lefty Gomez, Vernona’s remarkable Dad.  David Kaiser  will reprise his excellent convention presentation titled, The Unluckiest Pitchers: Won-Loss Records and Selection to the Hall of Fame.  There will be a Book Sale, Trivia, and Refreshments.

Oct. 15 2016: Chapter Game Day, 10 am, Middletown, CT.  Russell Library, Room 3.  Experienced and newbie players can engage in Strat-O-Matic play using teams from the 1930’s to 2000’s.
